No way!

My sister is my number 1 blog reader.  She checks it twice a day and calls to remind me that I haven't updated it lately.  She also took me here.

Two years ago she took me here.  Miller go to go too since Iwas 6 months pregnant with him.  We loved the "lazy" tower of terror river!

Besides taking me on fabulous vacations, she is a wonderful sister.  She is a wonderful cheerleader, and she always has my back.  She is also the first to tell me if she thinks I am making a mistake...not that I've ever made one!

My boys love their Aunt chele and she loves them right back. She spoils them, she laughs when they are naughty and she encourages them to be curious mischievious!  But then she gives them her "eye" and they stop dead in their tracks.  She can be tough too!

My sister is having a birthday today, and it's a BIG one!  So if you know her, wish her Happy Birthday, and if you don't you can still wish her happy birthday.  Just don't wish that she finds a man whose company she enjoys more than mine or I am going to be down to ONE vacation a year!  Just kidding sis, I love you and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
Happy Birthday Michele.  Now stop crying!

By Myself

No, this post isn't about me getting to go somewhere by myself.  I did get to go here and here this Spring and it's not likely that I'll get to go anywhere by myself for the next 15 years!  Not that I'm counting!
Anyway, this post is really about what Jackson can do all by himself.  It's not a major milestone like this, but something I didn't think I'd see in my lifetime.  It's not that he couldn't do it.  It's more like he wouldn't do it.

You see my boy has a big head.  He gets it from me--and his dad too!  Making putting on shirts a bit more of a challenge.  He really doesn't like getting his ears pulled on when he is putting his shirt on, or off for that matter!  So he has been very reluctant to dress himself.  It's easier for him to let us do it for him.  Frankly, I like dressing him.  Why would I want him to dress himself when he might then decide to have an input into what he wears?  I've seen what can happen when kids dress themselves. Sometimes it works and sometimes it DOESN'T!  Why run the risk?    So up until now he just lets us dress him.

Those days are numbered. I had out his clothes and then he went and put them on all by himself. No help at all.
Maybe we should work a little on directionality, but some details are over rated!  I mean how cute does he look just like this?  How proud is he?  He was telling me I needed to take a picture of the bear because it was on his back.  Bless his heart!  He doesn't even know it was backwards.

Sleep like you mean it!

Something I love about Miller is that he loves his sleep.  At the risk of Jinxing myself I will say that most of the time he gets right in his crib and snuggles down and goes to sleep.  We very seldom hear from him until the morning.
A few weeks ago I had to go in and wake Miller up before we had an early morning trip and this was what he looked like.
This is what he looks like most nights when I check in on him before I go to bed.  How can he be comfortable?  Whatever you gotta do to get yourself through the night, you go right ahead and do it little one.
I love you!

A Spring Morning

Time well spent chasing dogs, running in grass, fighting bubbles and riding in cars.  That's what Spring mornings are made of.

Adjustment has been tough. It's not easy to go from living like a queen to living like...a mom.
At the end of my second vacation, I was ready. Ready to come home to my boys. Ready to resume our life. Ready to take on all that being a mom entails. Well maybe not the tempertantrums and whining. That I can do without. About 24 hours after getting home, I felt like I had never been on vacation at all!
Mother's Day snuck up on me. As in I was at Muffins for Moms on Friday at Jackson's preschool and they told me Happy Mother's Day and I realized Mother's Day was THAT Sunday. So much for sending my mom a card, or a present!
Mother's Day was wonderful. I got to sleep in, and spend some time without 2 boys in craft stores, have a nice meal out, and after the boys were in bed, a little craft time. Perfect!
Yesterday was excellent too. Until there was projectile vomiting-twice from Jackson and and a head butt, from Miller, that I am pretty sure broke my nose.
Good thing that I got this little lovely for Mother's Day to remind me of what holds my heart.
Thank you!

Part III

I hesitate to even share this with you, but I will since I know you are all eager to hear more about it. If you're not, I completely understand. It is a bit much!
First of all, I do need to share with you that my sister works for a company that is VERY generous with their high performing employees. She sells scanners and other stuff, and apparently she is pretty good at it because she has been on 3 President's Club trips in 3 years. Maybe I should call her Superstar Scanner Sales Sister instead of Michele!

Anyway, the trip was for 2 people and since she likes me better than most people, I was delighted to be her guest at the Cap Jaluca Resort in Anguilla. The company charters a jet, which is a nice touch if you have the means to do so. From there we took a bus to the other side of St. Martin, and then a ferry to Anguilla and then another bus to the resort. That was so worth it because when we got there this was our room and balcony. Me likey!

We spent a lot of time on the beach, where the water is unbelievably blue,

but we did take some time to do this.

Can you believe that I had never ridden a horse before? Not sure I want to do it again anytime soon, but it was such a neat experience to do it for the first time on the beach.
They also took us on a sailboat snorkel trip.
Even though I had done one in St. Thomas about 2 weeks earlier, I still managed to have a fantastic time. She works with some really fun people, which made it quite the party! We had many excellent meals and I'm pretty sure I am going back on my program on Monday!

I must say that this would not have been possible without my wonderful husband and his great parents. Thanks so much for pitching in so I could live like an All Star for a couple of weeks.

Now back to your regularly scheduled blogging.

Part II

So I had to take a break and go on another trip, and I didn't get a chance to to finish blogging about my first trip...but these things happen (to other people)

On the 3rd day we went to Tortola then took a ferry over to a tiny island named Jost Van Dyke. I highly recommend it! We made friends with Heather, Rob and Leah and a local named Georgia.

We left the Caribbean and headed north to Bermuda. I don't even have words for Bermuda. All I can say is, I will be back!

The last day was spent at sea. Most of the day we spent on the balcony with our new friends Leah, Heather, Rob, Vicki and Steve. So much fun!
.

That it is it for the cruise, but I do have one more trip to show you! Then it is back to pictures of the boys!
