Adventures with the Bug and the Butterbean began in 2008 as
a way to record some of our day to day experiences and keep our scattered
friends and family plugged in to little bits of our life.
Since then we have moved to an island in the Caribbean and
have had more “adventures” than I ever imagined when I named the blog. Now the boys are both in school and we fill
our afternoons with soccer, swimming and bike rides.
I’m a messy girl who loves to organize. I love to paint, but I really can’t
draw. I ride my bike daily, but I don’t
like to walk. I play tennis, but can’t
stand to run. I love to read books, but
I have a longstanding commitment to People Magazine. The people who know me best are sure to
describe me as outgoing, but I really am shy until I get comfortable. Then watch out, my filter is pretty flimsy.
All that to say, I’m a bit of a contradiction, so even
though this blog is about our family, you just never know what you’re going to
get. I hope you’ll follow along with our adventure
So, how about you? I’d
love to hear from you.
