Flashback Friday

I was just reading on Big Mama’s blog about her newest book, Nobody’s Cuter Than You.  Big Mama is writing about her friendship with her BFF Gulley.

It made me think of this girl.  We met in fifth grade, went through the rest of our schooling together.CAM01066

We lived together in college.  Well there was our first year where we thought we wouldn’t room together because we thought we were going to go to college to meet new {better} friends.  Turns out that was a mistake, but we didn’t want to be mean to our roommates, so we lived with them all that year.

Oh the stories we have!  We are still as tight as ever.

In April we had our college reunion.

This Summer we had a day together just to enjoy some uninterrupted {childfree} time together.

Love you girl!

Flashback Friday

Last week when I was doing our back to school post, I clicked on the wrong September folder and came across these from September 2011.601604DSC_1047 (2)

I could just squish those sweet faces!

Flashback Friday Hydrangeas Baby

This time of year I always think of Hydrangeas.  They are my favorite flower and we had some gorgeous Hydrangea bushes in our last house.

One of our bushes had such a variety of colors on the same bush.

We were really lucky to have established bushes that were in a perfect spot for them to thrive.

Hi! I’m a lacecap Hydrangea!

One day we may have hydrangeas again…or maybe not!  Thankfully I have pictures.

When I was looking at the hydrangeas, these were in the same monthly folder.

AWE!

Those are some sweet babies.  They are still sweet and will always be my babies, but it is just not the same, when they wear nylon sports shorts all day and have an ever present layer of dirt on them.  Thankfully I have pictures.

Flashback Friday

Yikes!  It looks like the East Coast got hammered by a big winter storm.  It reminds me of this one!

I kind of forget how cold it gets when it snows, but these pictures are bringing me back!

You can read more about those snow days here, here and here!

Flashback Friday

Three years ago this is what our house looked like.

I was in quite a state those days.  It was CrAzY!  Remember?

Now I wonder about all. that. stuff!  Most of it is in storage.  Besides the furniture, what else is in there?  I have no idea!
I guess we will find out in a year or two!

Flashback Friday

Recently I was looking for a specific picture, and of course I couldn’t help myself.  I had to go through lots and lots of them.

It’s a weakness; as soon as I see pictures of my little boys I am powerless to stop.

Flashback Friday

These were taken 4 years ago this month.

I’m always a sentimental sap, but these pictures make me extra emotional.

The days when my baby climbed a soccer net and the days when Jackson flew a kite.  {The days when we had to wear sweaters and jackets in April!}

We measured the boys this week and each of them has grown at least an inch since December!

Flashback Friday

Here we go again!  You know when I have been looking for an older picture when I start getting all emotional.  I’m like Chevy Chase in the attic during the Christmas Vacation movie.  I love that movie.

Tender!  In a few years I am going to be looking back on today and being emotional about it too!
