Funny

So Jackson and Miller have been saying some funny things that I want to remember.
  • When pooping he says, “If I get really angry it will come out, UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
  • He points to his privates and says, “I gots a tummy ache.”  I say “That’s not your tummy, that’s your privates.”  He says, “I gots a privates ache!”
  • We put him to bed and he says he is thirsty, and we let him have two cups of water.  After we put him to bed his calling and calling my name (generally we try not to go back in), but he sounded very desperate, so I go in.  He says, “I am thirsty!!!!”  I tell him already had two cups and that’s enough.  He says, “Look in my mouth mom, it’s thirsty, AHHHHHH”  I had to give him some
  • He didn’t say this, but—we went to the beach and he is eating part of his PB&J and walks into the water.  I told him to get out of the water, but he doesn’t listen.  About that time he gets a natural consequence of not listening.  A wave gets his sandwich.  He then tries to wring it out!  That boys!
Jackson and Miller are used to asking for everything under the sun and hearing me say, “Your birthday is coming soon, put it on your list.”
So today Jackson looks up and asks me, “Mom, can you get us a butler?”
Pardon me, let me see if Mr. Belvedere is available to cater to your every whim!

Again?

yes again!  this time it was his lip/mouth and not his chin.
again he was just playing with Legos when he slipped and fell.
again we are taking it easy inside trying to keep busy without losing our minds.

that’s what happens instead of a scab when you cut the inside of your mouth…he has 2.
plus this on his chin where his top tooth bit through. can’t really see it because the fat lip is making a shadow, but it is there!

again thankful that it wasn’t worse.

Tricks

Warning picture overload!
These boys are always working on some kind of trick or another.  Fortunately they are strong and we have managed to stay (mostly) in one piece despite their never ending dare devil tricks.
Miller is trying to learn how to surf and skim board—on a boogie board.  He has no desire to use a boogie board in the manner in which it was intended!

Jackson is trying to learn how to do a flip into the ocean.
The pictures speak for themselves, so I’ll let you be the judge as to whether or not he was successful.

This went on for half an hour or longer.  He never gave up or complained.

After all that he is not ready to go home for dinner.
It’s another beautiful hot and humid day here, so we’re off to the beach to practice our tricks!
Next up kite boarding!

Kingfisher

Kingfishers are a bird that is pretty common here on our island home.  I had never seen them before, so it has been interesting to get to see them pretty close up.  We often see them fishing in the shallow water right out our back door.  I believe that they live and nest somewhere close by because they are pretty easily found out our backdoor.

Most of the time we don’t actually see them catch very much.  Sometimes my crew is rambunctious.  (Did you already know that?)

The other day as we were heading out the door to go fishing and I had my camera with me.  Just as I was about to open the door, Jackson saw the Kingfisher right off our back steps.  Since we have hurricane proof glass we didn’t scare this one off.

Check this out

Aunt Chele

Michele was able to come spend 10 days with us and we were so happy to have her here.  She spoils adores the boys, helps a ton and is such an easy “guest” to have.

Part Fish

Miller is getting really daring with his swimming.  It is so nice to see because when we started swimming again he was skee-red!
Clingy, crying, the whole works!
Now it is jumping, spinning, cannon balling and generally being fearless!

There have been many instances where I’ve said that he is part monkey, part beaver.  He is also part fish!
